Love that this is a small hotel, with all I am front rooms. The location is great, and convenient to much. I cannot see where any updates have been made in the last years, but it is really nice to see the cafe open, and to have that option, if there is a need. The rooms are usually clean, and what more do you need at the beach? Clean bed, and place to put your stuff and a balcony looking at the beach, letting you know it is a short walk to your chair?!! Thank you

Excellent front desk people. Especially Shanna.❤️ everyone has been eager to assist and friendly. Update appliances in the efficiency rooms would be nice and replace all carpet with solid floors.

My husband and I have for years stayed at the Blockade Runner for two nights as we make our way down to FL for our winter runaway from MA. We stay the extra night because this cozy motel offers us fabulous ocean views from our comfortable room and outdoor access to the balcony off our room. The staff here have always been very helpful and accommodating and the IGA just down the road has a great salad bar and food service for easy takeout.
